Celebration + A Giveaway!

Hello! Today I'm reporting from a dark and dusty corner of the library, but who cares because I have exciting news... I'm taking part in a big group giveaway with my old cronies from Patch Multi-Crafts

Get ready for a bit of backstory, it will be worth it in the end, I promise!... Patch Multi-Crafts is the craft store and frame shop where I worked for a year after high school. I can't believe that was 5 years ago! Anyways, all the ladies there were super crafty and loved to show it off so they all had blogs. After a couple months of working there, and of their constant pestering, I decided to jump on the bloggy bandwagon too! I don't want to be cheesy, but... it was the start of something beautiful. Sniff, sniff. ;) Now almost none of the original crew lives in Germany anymore, but we all still read and support each other's blogs. Sometimes when you're a huge craft nerd and [almost] nobody in your real life understands you, it is nice to know you have friends who just get why purchasing some cute new ribbon is, like, thiiiis close to dying and going to heaven.

And now it's the 5-year anniversary of all the blogs being started! I technically started my blog in October because I was a latecomer to the store, but I'm still jumping in on the group celebration. It also coincides almost perfectly with the 5-year anniversary of my shop [opened on April 6, 2008]!
So everybody's giving away some amazing loot!

Please make sure to visit everyone's blog to see all the giveaways and show some love to my crafty buddies. You can enter each one and there will be a different winner for each. The giveaways will be open until Sunday, March 16, and the winners will be announced on the 17th!

Click below to visit everybody's giveaway:

And now for the fun part: to win all the glorious treasure/booty you see here, just leave a comment below telling me your favorite item from my shop. Please include your email address too in case you win!

All 4 items pictured here (a pair of long earrings, a wire-wrapped freshwater pearl necklace, and two vintage-style statement necklaces) will go to one winner. I made each of these items specially for the giveaway!

Originally I wrote, 'leave a comment telling me what has changed most for you in 5 years'... but I decided if I can't even answer it, then the question is too hard! Basically everything in my life has changed: country of residence, friends, job, boyfriend(s), financial situation [haha!]. The only things that have remained are my blog and shop! :)

You can get additional entries by doing each of these things

1. Becoming a follower of this blog [the blue 'join this site' button on the left]
2. Adding my etsy shop to your favorites
3. Liking my shop's facebook fan page

For each of these that you do [including if you had already done it before], leave a separate comment below mentioning it. So, for maximum entries, you do all 3 [plus the original one telling me what you like best] and leave 4 separate comments. I'm not clarifying this because I think you're stupid, but rather because I like the sound of my own typing, and, equally, do not want to get back to writing my dissertation. :)

Good luck and remember to visit everyone else!

xoxo

Dear Jenny, I love procrastinating by looking at all the wonderful stuff in your shop. What I like best is the copper mountain necklace. I really like to colour and it think it is really versatile!

well and about the past 5 years... wow that is a difficult one! For me everything changed too, new country, new friends, new challenges... but considering that 5 years ago I was in the middle of IB stress it does not feel so much different form being in Uni stress right now! I don hope I grew up a little in the last 5 years though, and learnt lots of new things!

You are beyond generous, Jenny! ALL FOUR? I was positively stingy with my giveaway, by comparison. :)

I added your shop as a favorite (can
t believe I hadn't already done that!). And I'm all for the this kind of nonsense where I get extra entries. I just didn't want to deal with it on my blog!
